HOW IT WORKS

Contaminated fluid is pumped into the VDF separator unit creating centrifugal forces that push solid contaminants into the cyclone’s walls. Gravity then forces the heavier “dirty solid” particles downwards, while the lighter fluid enters a vortex in the center pulling it upwards and exiting as “clean fluid”.

IDEAL TARGETS FOR BEST FILTRATION RESULTS

  • Filtration of particles 5 to 100 µm
  • Larger particles should be pre-filtered via drum filter of other means
  • Solids should have a specific gravity greater than or equal to 2.7 (Ex. Aluminum)
  • Liquids (water / water based emulsion) should have a kinematic viscosity less than 5.0 cSt (Ex. Kerosene)
  • Separating efficiency improves as the density spread between solids (heavier) and liquids (lighter) increases
  • Recommended supply pressure between 29 to 44 psi (0.2 to 0.3 MPa)

1:水力旋流器是根據不同粒度的礦物做迴旋運動時所受到的離心力不同而達到分離礦物的目的的設備。但水力旋流器的作用不僅僅局限於分離礦物,在水體淨化、溶液除雜等也有運用。礦漿在一定的壓力下經給礦管沿切線方向進入倒錐形殼體,在殼體內做迴旋運動,礦漿中大粒度礦物由於受到較大離心力而進入旋流器外圍,最終成為沉砂由底部沉砂嘴排出;小粒度旋流器因受到的離心力較小而處於旋流器中心並隨液流向上運動,最後由溢流管排出行沉溢流。這樣便實現了分離礦物的目的。
